Helpers

I am fortunate enough to have time. I have as much time as I want really. I am my own boss and I don't have to worry about dead line.
I decided years ago to quit my career and stay at home with the kids.
One of the biggest advantages is that I can show them what I am doing and teach them how to help me. I believe it is the best school of life and it teaches them many skills. It also gives them opportunity to be part of something and feel proud of their work.
I usually do not take photos but I will and will share how to make kids more involved in running household.
But since I am stay at home mom - homemaker whatever you want to call it I always worry that I will do it all and there will be nothing left for them. In the recent years I actually make effort to keep jobs for them ;O).
Our kids are both on double digits now and I am very happy to say that they are both pretty handy and helpful. At this point with no instructions and reminders. For most part ha ha.

Kitchen

There are many opportunities to help in the kitchen and in my opinion it is one of the basic life skills.

Bathroom

Laundry

Flooring

Closets

Trash, recycling, composting

House plants

House painting helpers

When her brother was in school his sister helped me paint his room. She really loved this idea...
Two years later she was using professional roller and did fantastic job.

Anything you do with kids takes a bit longer and they do make a mess, but I am pretty sure they learn a lot through the process and will have memories forever. Showing them that we trust them is a big deal to them as well. here to edit.

Working with basic tools

I love teaching kids how to use basic tools. From hammer to screwdriver, anytime I am working on something I let them use the tools.
