Bird feeder from juice container
I often challenge myself how to upcycle items.
This juice container was destined for recycling bin, but kids and I figure we can turn it into a bird feeder.
Loose seeds would work well too.

Bird feeder
A bird feeder from a vintage cup. One of those pinterest ideas I was planning to do for a loooong time, let's see if it lasts trough the winter.
Frozen bird feeder
We are making frozen bird feeder.
All you need is a cake pan, seeds, cranberries, nuts and other bird yummies. You just add water and put it outside. I am hoping to take it out in one piece tomorrow, put a string trough the middle and hang on a tree. We are very excited. I will keep you posted.

We made this very easy bird feeder.

Bird bath
I made this bird bath from old candle holder and pie plate.
Supplies: candle holder, pie plate, glue (I love E6000)

Bird bath
I made this bird bath from old lamp and pie plate.
When I am looking for supplies I am looking for 2 pieces that will go well together. Rustic type or fancy. I want base that will be stable enough in it's own (even if a squirrel jumps on the edge) and the bowl should be between 1 to 2 inches. One is not deep enough and will dry soon, anything over 2 inches is too deep and will require something ( a rock or small sculpture?) in the middle for birds to sit on.
Just to make sure the bird bath does not flip over I added metal rod. I hammered it in the ground and inserted the bird bath stand on it.
I remove clay and ceramic bird bath from my garden before frost. They may crack.
In the summer time I make sure I added fresh water daily. I want to make sure that my garden guests are not disappointed and that I don't offer breeding spot for mosquitoes.
